Pat Skarb
Pat has been interested in painting ever since she was a young girl. But it wasn’t until she came to Florida from Connecticut twelve years ago, that she has had time to pursue her passion for painting. She has taken a number of classes and workshops from local artists and joined area art clubs.
Pat enjoys painting any subject, but flowers, animals and lighthouses are her favorites. She works primarily in watercolor, but has also worked in acrylic, oil, Pastel and mixed media.
She won “Award of Excellence” at the Art Guild Members Show, “Members Choice Award” at the Palette and Brush Club , “First Place” ribbon in Creative Arts at Volusia County Fair, “Purchase Award” from SunTrust Bank, Grandview. “Art Guild of Ponce Inlet Award, “Second Place in Pastel” at the Fine Arts Festival. She also won the T-shirt design contest for the Ponce Inlet Fine Arts Show.
She is a member of the Palette and Brush Club of the Halifax Area, the Art League of Daytona Beach, and the Art Guild of Ponce Inlet, where she has been co-chairman of the Members Fine Art Show held in November.
She exhibits her work at South Daytona City Hall, Ponce Inlet City Hall, Daytona Beach Shores City Hall.
